CHAPTER 5

Maan informed his friends to meet him in City Shopping mall after 2 hours. He hinted them that he has to tell them something also.

"Adi" the computer genius was his one oldest friend. 

"Nisha" is the only girl after Riddimma, who is able to make a place in this group which is usually called "Eagles"... fashion freak and usually do the shopping for her all group members. 

"Armaan" Doing his MBBS and doing his internship in city Hospital right now, but he is known for his hard exterior and rude image.

"Riddimma" Doing her MBBS and doing her internship in city Hospital right now and She shared a special repo with Armaan.

"Rahul" the famous flirt of the college.. lack in studies, if compare to others.

Maan and Geet both were roaming on the bike of Maan but the traffic of the evening is always something beyond imagination and there plan flopped to shop first then meet his friends.. they both directly headed toward schedule place as only 15 minutes left before his friend come there. 

He is nervous and scared because of their reaction which Geet sensed from his body language but choose to stay quiet. 

"What would you like to have.. coffee... sandwich?" Maan asked after pushing his anxiety at the back place of his mind.

"Ummm.. no.. nothing" Geet is little reluctant as the surrounding is alien for her and she is feeling out of place right now.

Maan rolled his eyes and order a coffee for himself and ice cream for her, without paying any heed to her protest.

"Maan, please let's go to some other Place" Geet faint voice made Maan directly see in her hazels.

"Geet!! My friends will be here in few minutes" he gritted set of teeth together.. as she is really wired for him and vice verse. 

She keeps her silence but didn't like his way of talking at all and her surroundings are something which made her shut. A girl who suddenly landed into a shopping mall and a full-time restaurant... have to be nervous.

Maan eyes caught the sight of his group, which are finally here and waved to him... but soon their smile changed into a frown as their sight caught a girl, who is sitting with Maan but her back is toward them and above of all this she is in salwar Kameez and definitely this is not their buddy taste. 

"Maan now, what is this new drama buddy?" Armaan glared him.

"Yes... Maan!! Who is this girl?" Riddimma asked sincerely. 

"Maan... !!!" Nisha gasped to see all married signs had worn by this unknown Geet. 

"What the hell had you done now?" Rahul bit his nail... their group is famous for disaster.

"Yaar.. will you all just keep your anxiety away for a moment?" Maan sighed and called Geet next to him.

He took a deep breath... "Meet my wife Geet Maan Singh Khurana" 

"And Geet.. they all are my friends"

Geet just gave a small forceful smile and join her palm to greeted them but the whole momentum is disturbed by loud giggles... Nisha giggled loudly and banged her palm on the table.

"Nice way to fool us buddy... or else this typical nerd girl is your wife... no, I can't believe this in my dreams too" Nisha laughed more and the whole gang joined her.

"Play something convincing buddy and this is the most stupid prank that I have ever seen" Armaan patted his back, which turns Maan more frustrated.

"What are they speaking Maan Ji? Please ask them to speak in Hindi naa" Geet felt restless under so many gazes... her inner-self felt disgusted with their looks.

"Oh, Madam... Ji !!! Take your money and leave now, enough of your drama" Nisha had spoken in the harsh voice and pulled out her wallet from the back of her jeans to pay Geet. 

"Will you stop it Nisha? This isn;t any prank and she is my lawfully wedded wife... got it" Maan yelled and did something on his phone and next second everyone from the group got a message with an attachment of their wedding photo and left them in shock.

The whole gang sits in the circle around the table and silence lingered between them for seconds turn minutes. Geet felt like... she is mourning over something that's why no one speaking but she also sits quietly.

"How all this happened," Armaan asked whilst pressing his buddy palm.

"Mom.. who else!!! Mom wants this marriage to happen.. and it's happened" Maan sighed.

"But why Aunty did it... it does not seem like you had crossed 30 and she has married you in urgency" Nisha was agitated with the news as her forever dream to get Maan as her own, has been broken brutally by a typical nerd girl like Geet.

"She lost her father and didn't have anyone... so mom decided to make her Khurana Daughter-in-law" Maan answered. 

Geet felt restless and uneasy to see them chanting but in English... she is getting bad vibes through their expression which made her spoke finally. 

"Please speak in Hindi, Maan Ji Please inform them that I don't know English" Geet pleading voice earned more gasp.

"Will you stay quite for some time? Maan said to Geet and she just nodded... just wanting to get a release from their drama.

"Mean.. mean she is " Maan just nodded "yes... illiterate" answered at Riddimma statement... "what had Aunty done you and why?" Riddimma said angrily.

"I don't understand... why are you all making it as a big deal and we all know Neelam Aunty, she isn't dumb to take a decision in haste that too for Maan... And about being illiterate, what's the problem? Everyone had flaws so was she" Adi finally spoke to see his friend creating so much negativity in Maan.

"For god sake Adi... are you his friend or enemy? Do you even understand the depth of the situation?" Nisha snapped.

"Mind your tongue Nisha... no one is here to hear your own law of humanity especially when you are the most selfish soul and you want to say... you are his well-wisher more then  Neelam Aunty" Adi made her shut her mouth. 

"Hii Geet... I am Adi and childhood buddy of your husband" Adi smiled and introduce himself officially with her.

Geet gave a nervous smile but Adi noticed tears in her eyes.

"I am Geet..." she joins her palm again and greets them in her own way. 

Adi small action made Riddimma and Armaan follow the same and they also greeted with Geet finally but Rahul and Nisha remained quite and didn't agree with Adi at all.

"Will you keep us hungry? Common Place your order now..." Adi said and turned the atmosphere in casual.

Geet just took few bites from Maan's dish only for name sake or else she wanted to run away from his friend. All are different from her and quite involve with each other... she found herself out of place completely.

But she doesn't know that all this bricking and slang or taunt are part of their daily routine and he took it as regular fun without understanding that how it feels too left all alone in the bunch of strangers... who continuously eyeing your every action to taunt you.

She wiped the corner of her eyes before her tears roll down and she has to face Maan's question. 

"Seems you don't like the food here... you didn't have much  Geet" Maan asked when both are walking to reach parking. 

"No.. just like that" Geet didn't feel like to continue their conversation.

Maan could make out that she is upset with something which made him restless as he planned this outing to cheer her but the result is same... she is till upset and hungry which he knew because of none call few bites as Dinner.

"Maybe she felt uneasy to see a push restaurant... let me take her somewhere else... somewhere... something peaceful" with this thought he started the bike and wait for her to settle at the back of him with the helmet on her hand and he zoomed the bike... as suddenly night turned cloudy and the wind started to blow which turned their little ride quite enjoyable.
