CHAPTER 6
Geet frowned to see when he stopped the bike at an isolated area and at the name of human presence, there was just one small tea shop with few folding cots under a shed.
"What is this Place Maan?" before she complete it
"You didn't have anything there so, I thought ahh this is famous tea and bread butter stall of this city and you know that all the college students at least visited this place for once in their semester, but you know why?" both settled on the one cot comfortably after removing their footwear.
"Actually... they keep this stall open whole night and after study whenever I or anyone feel starve even in midnights too then we visit here for the awesome snacks" he smiled sheepishly.
Suddenly the loud thunderstorm caught their attention and with this heavy downpour started.
There is little hustle- bustle as tea stall owner started to move back little under the tent to save from this heavy downpour and there is only Maan n Geet at the name of the customer and they too had no hurry.
"What would you like to have Bhai?" a boy age of 18 comes there in his loose fitting vest and lose knicker...
"2 tea.. n 4 pieces of bread butter, but" before Maan said the boy complete it.
"Don't worry Bhai, toast will hard like always and I will not forget to add ginger, but what madam like to have?"
"For now it's enough..." Maan stretched his leg and sat comfortably as he didn't think that this rain will allow them to leave from here soon and finally see the smile on Geet face made her relaxed.
She is collecting drops in her palm like a child and letting her feet wet with Rimjim of rain.
"Are you happy now?" Maan asked breaking the ice between them.
"Umm.." Geet didn't turn, neither replied but give him an acknowledgment nod.
"Ok... please forgive me Geet... umm I know you are feeling bad and you should feel bad, but I was angry and my assignment.. marks..." he didn't know... how to make her understand.
I am not a fool Maan as you thought about me or maybe I didn't know ur language, nor your ways of living, but I am also human and understand feelings" Geet turned once again back to see in the infinity.
"
"Can we finish this bricking here only with this hot tea and bread toast?" Maan offered the plate to her with a hope in his eyes.
"Hmm.." Geet smiled little to see his puppy look and took mud teapot in her one hand and a buttered toast in other one and cherished like this is the tastiest meal in the world.
Well, right now it is as she isn't just hungry but famished and this heavy downpour doubled the taste of masala tea and mouth watering buttered toast.
"I loved rain, you know the sound of rain drop felt like that nature is singing and celebrating in happiness... Do you like rain Maan? " Geet spoke in a trance and found Maan is leaning on her shoulder from behind and his chin is resting on her shoulder as he is busy in lazily munching his toast.
"Umm.. didn't get much time for thinking all this... first studies than business... have to help mom as well." he said lazily.
"I know and understand too that you are not happy with our marriage, but I will never come in between your success and wishes," Geet said but didn't get any reply from Maan.
Maan didn't know what to say in reality, he can't give her... what their relation demanded from him... nor he wants to hurt her again when he knew... there is no way for both of them. Nor he can accept their marriage, neither leave her or divorced her. There is entangled with each other very badly and he knew... both is going to suffer... gap or contrast of their personalities would let them become one ever.
"Why did you not complete your studies?" Maan asked out of blue.
"My father's health was not in good conditions from yrs and he has no one except me, So I left school in mid and start to look after home and fields with my father, but he wants me to studies and I denied as he was really seriously ill... now see how did he leave me alone to live this life.. didn't even think how will I live without him alone in this world." her voice comes out like a whisper and a lump formed at the bottom of her throat.
"I too missed my Dad... I missed the feel of security around him" Maan whispered in trance... Geet didn't understand his words but her heart able to relate to the amount of pain in his voice.. she knew... he is talking about his father as her mind caught Dad word from his whole stance.
Maan laughed slightly a painful laugh "Mom always told me that Dad is here still between us and I shouldn't miss him and then she used to cry for Dad in the room" he chuckled slightly after thinking, how his mom always failed in consoling him.
"Man.. you are a dangerous girl, just see what have you done to me, do I have an image or not" he commented playfully after removing wetness from the corner of the eye.
Don't know from where... Geet got guts but she hugged him tightly and kept her head on his check whilst encircled her arms around his waist... Maan too didn't protest and took her in his half-embrace and both watched the rain in silence... for an hour.
Maan opened hs eyes when he felt some moment around him... and found a young boy is standing next to them... his grip had gotten tight around Geet in sense of responsibility... their conflict is behind the 4 walls of their home... for outside world she is his wife and he is responsible for her security like gentleman.
Maan glared at the small boy, who fumbled "Bhai... I was just covering you both with a blanket". Maan instantly calms down with his proper reason and signaled him to leave them alone whilst Geet is still sleeping in his arms peacefully and Maan also didn't wake up her.
This outing took a massive change in their relation at least... they tried to be friendly with each other... instead of fighting or planning to get rid of another one. There is an unspoken agreement between them and Maan too felt her presence turned out quite profitable for him. He doesn't have to leave empty stomach in morning... nor he had to think about making his lunch after a tired day in institute whilst other side Geet tried to not to bother him with her presence but this isn't much matter to him... the main thing he felt that he didn't has to come inside a dark apartment daily. She filled his home with her presence and he never felt alone and sad after she had started to live with him.. he felt like... he is in km and someone is there to look after him. He was also not less...
After today, he always makes sure that as a husband, he fulfilled all his duties sincerely like Geet did and he is inspired by her in so many ways moreover her patients the and presence of mind started to attract him.
Their relation is unique and crossed all the protocol of the society. There is no typical husband and wife drama but both loved to pull each other leg and taunt to each other. Any experienced person could say from their fights that they had fallen in love but they are far away to recognize their newly found love.

hi thanks 4 updating! fantastic update! well written! Maan takes Geet to a tea stall! he orders simple toasted bread n tea! Geet relishes the food! Maan apologises! Geet explains wt she feels! So that Geet can eat and they also can talk things out. And there they struck such a beautiful connection & understanding between one another:):):)Geet knew from Maan's voice the pain he is feeling about his Dad and it struck a deep chord within her as she can relate so well. Her hug is not just to comfort Maan that she understands but she also feels comforted and protected by the one soul who is in her life other than her father. And both of them slept with the comfort to each other. Its a beautiful beginning of their relationship. After that see the way both of them opened up to each other...The way Maan started appreciating her each and every doing...from her taking such care of him , patience, her sharp presence of mind to their friendly banter...She has filled his life with her presence. Part 6 – so truce bet them. Date in rainy night was beautiful. Both got peace with each other and started their friendship which was the best solution for them.

I think you have made some small changes in the story from last time....
ReplyDeleteI like one thing in this Geet is that she is not taking any unnecessary taunts from him....she is confident, she knows she is not educated but that doesn't mean she should not have any self-respect....she is talking her heart out with clear words.....and Maan is mesmerized by her patience and personality....
their relation has become some comfortable....they are playing, teasing, laughing friendly with each other....

Maaneet ek dusra sa baat karta hai ek sweet relation ki starting ho gayi hai maaneet ki.. Maan vi apne feelings share karta hai and hero thoda emotinal ho jata hai apne dad ko yaad kar ka.. Rain ka karan dono wohi stall ma time spend karta hai aur maan ka protective side vi dekhna ko mila thoda.. Geet illitrate hai par confident hai maan ko ans karti hai acha sa.. Dono ek dusra ka saath rehna ma cofortable hai..
