Chapter 12

Maan is still unconscious due to medicines. So, Armaan is in-charge and all is following his orders quietly.


Nisha n Rahul left the apartment and having no other option. Whilst Riddimma adjust 4 beds on the floor... As they decided to give Maan whole bed to sleep comfortably n Geet asked to place her bed next to Maan's bed on the floor.


Whilst Geet is setting table as all 4 are famished because of not taking anything after lunch. Armaan is busy to make list with Adi... what could be ok for Maan to eat... and some nuts like Almonds... musk melon seeds... fox-nuts n a paste which is ready by some herbals and used in typhoid to avoid weakness... he added Wheat floor noodles too as they changed taste of patient bitter tongue. Masala soup which is made by Indian masalas and warm the body instantly to avoid shivering n etc... Almond oil to message his foot soul n chest.



"Phele app sab khana kha lo.. phir doctor bhi aa jaye gai" Geet attracted everyone toward her and all leave there work in mid and headed toward Dinning table.
"(First you all take your meal than doctor would also come to check Maan)"

Geet too sat with them and have her dinner quietly, despite knowing she couldn't eat peaceful till the time... Maan starts to talk again properly with them.



Doctor arrived and checked Maan's blood reports once again and prescribed medicines... with some instruction... Especially asked to avoid everything which could cause cough in Maan's chest.



Meanwhile, Maan's soup is also ready which Geet keep on the burner before dinner to be cooked till the time it's turned and started to effect as remedy. This is special recipe which her one Anuty from village taught her for cough n fever.



Geet sat on the bed near her head and quite slipped his head on her lap... Riddimma helped her... than placed a table clothe around Maan neck to avoid make if sticky in case it's slipped from his lips... than she slowly started to feed him with spoon in very little amount so he could drink it quite easily.



Once, Maan whimpered which made her eyes lifted toward Riddimma who nodded is assurance and asked her to continue.



After almost one hour struggle... she had succeed in feeding him one bowl soup but unknown to her... She made a place in his friends heart. They are quite surprised to see the care in this girl... somewhere in their... heart... all they understood... they all are wrong in judging her... nothing could change the goodness of soul... and it's comes from the birth... They admired the flat which is well maintained.. and her cooking made them licked their fingers at dinner time.



Geet wiped Maan's face with warm wet towel n made him gulp the recommended syrup by doctor... than covered him properly into the blanket.. infact double blanket... amd switch off the light to his side than she joined all the others three who is sitting in their respective beds n she settled into the Riddimma one... till the time they are talking.


"Armaan jii.. vo usse din ke liye maafi mangni" but she is cut by Armaan.
"(Armaan ... I want to ask sorry for that day)"



"Geet.. tumne ek dum thik kiya tha.. galat hum the usse din restaurant mai bhi or usse din bhi jab tum hickicha rahi thi humse... hume samjhna chahiye tha..." he said in genius tone as a gentle man when he understood his mistake.. it's doesn't take time to him to accept it also.
"(Geet.. you did which was right... if someone was wrong here than it should be us... let it be that day or the restaurant day.. we should get you hesitated behaviour n give u.. ur space too but sadly we didn't and things went wrong between all of us form starting)"



Riddimma smiled to see her lion is stammering.. "Geet !!! Hum sab Maan se bhout pyaae karte hai.. tu ye shaadi ek dum jatka thi hum sab ke liye... ok friends.. I mean."
"(Geet !!! We all love Maan so much.. than thia marriage comes as shock for us... let's forget it ... ok friends... I mean)"



"Mujhse pata hai friends ka matlab dost hota hai... Maan nai kuch kuch words sikhye hai mujhse... jo yeha aam istemaal hote hai" Geet smiled to them.
"(I know the meaning of friend.. Maan taught me some regular use words)"


"Tu phir friends" trio keeps their hands in each other in front her and she placed her palm to onto them and smile.. which is filled with gratitude.
"(Than friends???)"



They talked more about Geet n tell her about themselves... some small stories of Maan... and they discussed about Maan's health n what is the schedule of tomorrow and finally when clock stuck at 12... they decided to sleep and Geet went to her bed which is next to Maan's bed.



At night Maan felt sharp pain in his body as fever is back again and causing it n shivering. His moned made Geet awake in minutes only and when she checked him after turning lights... She felt tears sting her almond eyes. She liked him like before ... all ready to fight with instead of burning in fever and moaning in pain.


At once Geet comes with the Almond oil from kitchen and a balm too. She quietly and steadily sat next to him than placed tray of almond oil in front of her but before it she took balm and messaged his forehead slightly and little bit on his chest too... her warm palms instantly made Maan turned to her side and hide himself in her body warmth.


Geet couldn't able to hold herself back and pressed a soft kiss on his ears slightly and whispered soothing words to comfort him. She used her blanket also to warm him but to see her not getting any comfort.


She Quietly went to the dinning room... where they had placed heater securly in cupboard but in this process Armaan stirred and sat up to see some one roaming around the flat. He sighed to see Geet there...


"Kya hua.. sab thik hai" he whispered and stand on his feet.
"(What happened.. is everything alright)"



Geet shook her head... "phir se bukhar aa gaya hai unhe... itni thand lagi hai" Armaan understood to see the heater in her palm.
"(He is again burning with fever... also shivering too)"



"Hmm.. mujhse do... ye mai karta hu..." Geet gave heater to Armaan and sat nead Maan feet and gave a message to his soul of foot with almond oil as soul directly transfer heat in whole body.
"(Hmm.. give it to me.. I will do it)"



Armaan too placed heater near his feet and let the warm air entered in his blanket.



He sat at the other side of him.. he nose sniffed a different smell from Maan.



"Baam lagi hai isse"
"(Did you apply baam on him??)"



"Jii sarr mai... chaati mai... thoda tu armaan aaye gaa" her voice is choking.
"(Hmm.. at his forehead n chest... at least he would get little peace)"


Armaan took little bit oil from geet and massaged Maan's palm too... and put little bit on around his nose.



"Tum so jao Geet.. abhi bas 3 baje hai.. mai baitha hu iske pass" Armaan wondered to see the matured girl in front of him. Yes, he used matured because here he daily meet with those girls who love to throw tantrums on anything or everything but here... she is just come in Maan life some months ago but to see her worried face... dedication, seva... any one could had blown.
"(Geet.. you go and sleep... it's still 3 at morning.. I will sit here ... u go and take rest)"


Geet didn't buzzed "nahi... mujhe neend nahi aa rahi bhai".
"(No no... it's alright.. I am not sleepy at all bro)"


"Bhai??? One more shock for you Armaan... or else who say hottie Armaan as bhai" he thought and chuckled slightly.
"(Bro)"



"Ok.. tum coffee piti hu yaa chai" he asked.
"(What do you like.. coffee or tea)"


Geet frowned but answered "dono.. kyu"
"(Both... why??)"


"Kyuki... tumhare bhai ki taraf se coffee ki party " Armaan smiled and rose on his feet.
"(Because... a coffee party for you from your brother)"



"Mai bana deti hu.. app baitho"
"(Ohh.. you sit ..I will make it)"


"Kyu... darr lag raha hai.. meri coffee se.." Geet didn't know what to say.
"(Why... are you scared from my coffee)"


"Mazak kar raha tha... Riddimma aaj tak zinda hai... so chinta ki koi baat nahi hai... baitho tum... Maan ke saath" he left without giving a chance again to her for argue.
"(I was just joking... Riddimma is still alive so not to worry... u sit here with Maan.. I will fetch 2 cup of coffee for us)"


Geet felt little odd.. but shrugged it... now she adjust herself near Maan head side and let him hold her form waist and thread her fingers in his black thick hairs. She could feel butterflies in her abandon but right now, Maan comfort is her priority.

Morning was eventful as Riddimma went to submit her assignment and Adi went to market to shop everything which they had in list.


Armaan and Geet is in apartment with Maan as Maan's friends didn't want to leave Geet all alone on her own. Especially when she is in an unknown city. No emergency wait and knock the door before entering. So it is decided to at least one of them will give company to Geet in the flat and in evening again Armaan, Riddimma n Adi will sleep here only.


Maa woke up finally in the mid afternoon... when finally fever comes down temporarily. And with a tight squeeze opened his black shinning ords which instantly geet gasped in reward and she gave him a little bit aide hug too.


Maan nodded in acknowledgment and with the help of her sat on the bed with resting his back at the bedpost.


"Jaida tang kiya" he asked with a very small smile.
"(Do I make u worried much?)"


"Bhout jaida... koi aise karta hai kya... app phir se phele ki rarah ladai karo... mager aise matt raho" and she doesn't able to hold back anymore and some tears dropped over her cheek which she wiped harshly.
"(So much.. who do like this to others... you just become like before again.. fight with me .. argue with me but don't stay like this in bed all weak and ill)"


Maan smiled to see his chuhiya cum sherni... and tucked her to him and gave a hug.


"Pagal" he whispered.
"(Mad)"


"Ohh.. tu fursat mile gayi apko utne ki" Riddimma who just went into rhe kitchen after come back from hospital... said with fake anger.
"(So you finally get time to wake up Mr.)"



Maan smiled to see her... "mujhse fresh hona hai".
"(I need to freshen up)"


"Hmm.. app ruko mai sab toiletries ander rakhe kar apki help karti hu... nahana matt app.. samjhe"
"(Hmm.. wait !!! Let me set your toiletries inside than I will help you... n don't you dare to bath... got it)"



"Jo app kahe begum shiba" he said playfully.
"(As you say Mrs. Wifey)"


He wondered how could he felt so much weakness in just one day and thought to ask Riddimma.. "hua kya hai mujhse Rimm"
"(What had happened to me Rimm)"


"Typhoid hua hai sir jii... bhule jao 15 din sab kuch only bed rest"
"(You are having typhoid infection sir jii... forget everything till 15 day just take bed rest)"


"Ohh hell... what about exam?"


"Maan.. right now your health is priority... will see later... what could we do? For now I sent medical leave to college administration for you... Lets hope for best and follow your wife instruction" Maan crooked his eyebrows at last line.


"She is a gem... I seriously wondered... how could someone care a other human being to this extend... you are lucky... fat fish" Riddimma playfully punched his chest and he smiled little bit.
